We bought a theme a long time ago. I have since made a ton of changes. Our site, http://ubbbk.com works well on the web from desktop. Customers like it, our ads have done okay, it isn't perfect but we are on our way and have quite a few sales.
When Shopify used to allow a mobile and a desktop theme, we had used another simple theme and after a while, we used Shoppad. Problem was that it caused our entire site to slow down so recently I took it off and was going to try an find a mobile theme that would do the job. Well, I didn't know Shopify has changed the rules and there is no more mobile theme. Problem became, how do I get my site to work on mobile? We contacted the original theme designer and he was zero help. He actually responded by saying, "just pick another theme." Truly a case of once you make the sale, all help goes out the window.
We DO NOT want another desktop theme. So, I am guessing that the mobile theme will have to be built into the code? Our site on mobile currently is hard to shop as a customer. What I am looking for needs to be VERY simple. I don't even need the pages to work. Maybe a category list where customers can pick a category (collection) and select product, and a search function so they can search the site. A contact us page where they can simply fill out the form and contact us... and a simple checkout function. I won't say the name of the company but I emailed someone with those details and they came back with $750....
So, if you are into gouging shop owners please don't respond. What I want should be simple and take a good designer who knows and understands Shopify and liquid a total of an hour. If you make $750/hr... WOW! Good for you. You won't get it from me.
