There is not one solution to this issue. Also note that your site will not appear high in ranking by google if it is a new site (less than 3 month old).
There are a few things you should be doing.
- Set up google analytics and google webmaster tools on the site so you can get some data to measure traffic to your site.
- Perform an audit of your site to make sure you have the correct meta title, description set up for every page of your site (for maximum SEO). I normally advise client to use the 30 day free trial of moz.com to do a complete crawl of their site. Moz.com generates some useful reports about your site and you can fix them according to priorities.
These are the technical things that you need to be doing.
After that, how to get business is like running any other business, getting the words out, writing blog posts, build a referral channel, etc.
