Hello, I need a custom solution built to handle the back-end functions of my product rental business. Looking for developer who has already worked on something like this and can provide examples of work.
Here are some of the things unique to my business model that I'd need the custom solution to address effectively, I think:
- potentially hundreds of products for shoppers to choose from
- price of each product is monthly rental rate (1 month minimum charge)
- shopper creates a cart and total monthly rental rate is equal to sum of rental rates of individual products selected
- shopper selects Delivery Date and products are drop-shipped
- customer is charged the 1-month minimum at time of delivery
- customer keeps product for as long as desired. At end of 1st month, system auto-bills for 2nd month, etc.
- The site has a module where the customer clicks to "Schedule Return". When customer returns product, billing ceases and credit is automatically generated for the over-bill (after 1st month, rent pro-rates on a daily basis; if product returned in middle of 2nd month, then system would credit half a month of rent once product is returned).
