Custom Size Entry -> Automatic Pricing by James Hodge

G'day all,

We run a Shopify store (http://crowesonline.com) for our Curtain & Blind manufacturing business, and need assistance developing templates for custom sized products.

We have a range of products that can be manufactured to a custom size - for example a roller blind measuring 1249mm wide x 2057mm high.  Prices for these products can be defined as variants where the attributes of the variant (width and height) are the *maximum* sizes at that price.

We need a template and cart system for these products that:

  1. Presents two fields (width and height) on a product page (but does not show the width and height variants on that page).
  2. When users enter a width and height, the template looks up the variants and finds the smallest variant that is larger than the entered sizes (for example the variant entered as 1300w x 2100h), and displays the price on the product page.
  3. Other options (for example colour) that do not affect price can be displayed and selected.
  4. When adding to the cart, all these details are included in the cart display and in subsequent order emails sent to the customer and store admin.

We are looking for quotes from experienced Shopify developers who can commence on the work in the very near future.

Please feel free to contact me either here or james <at> crowescurtains <dot> com <dot> au if you would like to discuss the requirements in more detail.
