I'm looking for a designer to make modifications to my store themes. There are a few changes that I would like to make right away, and there will likely be ongoing tweaks and small projects. I have a particular method I like to use to keep things efficient.
The method:
1) I describe the changes or designs I need, to the best of my ability.
2) You take a wild guess as to how many hours you think it will take to accomplish this task. This in no way has to be correct. It will almost certainly not be correct. This guess shouldn't include more than a few minutes of looking at my store without login credentials. I will keep jobs small. I won't ask you to make a new store.
3) We (virtually) shake hands and you begin work. Your goal is to make one single quick and dirty version of what I am looking for. You fill in any design related decisions with your judgement (you're the designer after all.) And you call my cell phone on the spot if any burning questions are stopping you in your tracks. Notify me when you're finished with the first pass.
4) I check out the preview and provide feedback. You make the necessary improvements. Repeat until the desired result is acheived. There may be 1 tweak, there may be 10.
5) All of your work is charged at your hourly rate.
