Hey Shopify Devs,
Experienced eCommerce project manager here looking to help out a friend with a new business. I've got a contact who owns an eye lab and has the ability to create lenses, glasses, etc. He'd like to start selling online and I'd love to help get him started and pointed in the right direction. I want to make sure that the site he creates is something unique and user friendly.
We're wanting to get a simple, clean, responsive Shopify shop set up that we can start testing out the waters of selling his prescription glasses and frames online. Nothing near as complex as Warby Parker but something that looks somewhat modern and high quality. We don't want to look like an off-the-shelf dropship site--we want some level of brand flavor. Potentially bringing some material design elements and patterns into the site theme.
Since we're creating glasses that will be different for each customer, we will need some heavy conditional logic behind every single pair of frames and these products would be pretty complex. We'd need a slick way for the user to:
- Select a Frame from the product grid
- Choose a Frame color, material or other options (optional)
- Select lens types (multiple options here, thickness and beyond)
- A cool, easy way to enter prescription on both desktop and mobile
What we don't want is a series of unstyled dropdowns or a page full of entry forms but rather something a little more user friendly and something that helps set us apart from the competition.
I'm experienced with spec'cing out web projects and am happy to provide more detail to anyone who might be interested. If you think this might be something you're up to, toss me an email at blakejpuryear@gmail.com
Thanks!
