Multi-column dropdown menu with column titles by James Lupton

Hi,

My site is www.spoiltpets.com

I am adding many new product ranges so I would like to adjust my drop down menus.

If you hover over 'Clothing' for example, I want there to be 2 columns: Dog and Cat. These titles will show in the drop down, just above the actual link list. 

I want the menus to be dynamic. Currently, as you know, the drop down menu is created simply by naming the link list the same as one of the links in another. I would like the ability to name a new list "linklist-title"+1. i.e. every link list that is the title with a number 1 appended will be loaded into the drop down menu as a second column.

So my link list would be 'clothing' and 'clothing1'. Dog column would be on the left; cat on the right (with the respective titles).

I would need this functionality to work on other drop downs too, e.g. 'Toys' & 'Toys1'

Scope to add columns in the future would also be good, i.e. 'Clothing2' shows a 3rd column, etc - but this isn't essential right now.
