Changes made to Cart (low budget) by Andrew
Hello,
I'm setting up my startup business from a few days ago and need some changes made listed below:
-I have my promotional items tagged with "promo" and I want it so customers can't mix promotional with non-promotional items before they checkout.
-A message displayed stating, "Sorry you have one or more promotional items in your cart. Please remove "item highlighted in red" to continue."
-I need "promo" items to be removed from searches.
-The promotional collections page should not display other collections in the header.
-I need the code to be transferable for when I eventually change themes.
Your first few jobs will be low budget, I need a dependable programmer who will be working with me long-term, knowledgeable in web design is an asset.

Conditional default variants - anyone ever do this? by WhiteWater Web
Hi all - curious if anyone has ever changed the default variant of a product based on a condition of some kind (language of the page, etc.). We have a client who has one store but switches between different languages - they want German visitors to see German books listed first in the product dropdown (not English).
Thoughts?

Looking to a consultant to build a template by Crane & Canopy
Friend is launching a new ONE PRODUCT e-com site.
Specs:
1. A few "About" pages including images and videos.
2. One product page with a carasol image viewer
3. mailchimp form integration in the footer.
Design (both desktop and mobile) is done. All assets will be provided.

I've done similar thing -- the product image in collection view was changed based on what collection the visitor is looking at. Image was selected (and appropriate product variant url -- so the person arrives at the product page with proper variant selected) based on the keyword in image ALT or filename. Look at this thread and follow the link there.
UPD, just checked and variant selection was not done for that site, but done for others.
